Honey Bees Class | Bumble Bees Class | Queen Bees Class

All our classes are structured to provide time for child directed play and discovery within a framework of free choice and group time. The daily structure helps all children learn to cope with transitions, self direct and listen to and follow directions. In all our classes children will learn and refine the social skills needed for being in a group setting - sharing, taking turns, listening and considering other people's feelings. The group is like a “family” . They learn to get along, overcome problems, help, support and respect each other. The teachers create a positive environment by modeling respectful behavior and offering strategies and guidance to overcome problems. Our classes provide children with opportunities to create, explore, problem solve, play imaginatively, sing, dress-up and socialize.

Honey Bees is for children who turn 3 by December and are potty trained. This 2 day class is the perfect introduction to a group setting and to preschool!

• Pre Reading - Introduction to 'Zoophonics', Letter of the week, Storytime

• Pre Writing - Easel painting, crayons/coloring, glueing

• Math - Monthly shape, manipulatives

• Science - Seasonal themes, planting and growing

Bumble Bees Class - $300 month (Daily Schedule)
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8.30am - 11.30am OR 12.15pm - 3.15pm

Bumble Bees is for children who turn 4 years old by December. This 3 day pre-k class prepares children for kindergarten by providing a balanced structure and rich curriculum. In this class children refine their social skills as we see more complex collaborative play emerge. The curriculum includes the following activities:

• Pre Reading - Zoophonics practice, Letter of the week, Phonemic Awareness, Story time, Book extension activities

• Pre Writing - Easel painting, name writing, tracing letters and numbers, dictation, cutting and pasting

• Math - Manipulative based, Calendar

• Science - Nature based, Seasons, Life cycles, Experiments

Queen Bees Class - $450 per month (Daily Schedule)
Monday - Friday 8.30am - 11.30am

Queen Bees is our brand new 'Kindergarten Readiness Class offering a rich curriculum for children who are 4 or 5 years old and developmentally ready for a 5 day class. Children should have already completed one year of preschool and must be in their pre-k year. Teachers will support children by helping them to build on their existing knowledge to take them to the next level in academic and non academic areas of development. The curriculum includes the following activities:

• Pre Reading - Daily Zoophonics practice, Letter of the week, Phonemic Awareness, Poem reading, Storytime, Weekly book/poem extension activity

• Pre Writing - Easel painting, Forming letters in sand, shaving foam etc, daily name writing, tracing letters and numbers, dictation, journal writing

• Math - Manipulative based, Math Their Way, Estimation Jar, Thematic counting and sorting, Cooking projects, Daily Calendar

• Science - Nature based, Seasons, Life cycles, Experiments

• Social Science - Monthly study of a different country and it's culture including music, art, literature and food
